The Romanian Association for Engineering Geology (ARGI) is established as a scientific association, working with the legal personality of January 8, 1992.

ARGI is affiliated and participate in the activities of the International Association of Engineering Geology and the Environment.

It is also included in the catalogue of NGOs from Romania and from Central and Eastern Europe.
